The Eggtober FoundationOur Charitable Fundraising Authority from the NSW Office of Liquor and Gaming is CFN/21245. OVERVIEW The Eggtober Foundation was established in 2009. As a not for profit organization with DGR status, it supports gynaecological cancer units, professional clinicians, patients, community education and research initiatives. Through our website, the mass media, political advocacy and presentations to community groups the foundation promotes the cause of women with gynaecological cancers. It aims to offer women better health outcomes, improved survival rates and ultimately through research find a cure for gynaecological cancers. Participants spend the month of October giving fast food the flick! The internet provides the ideal vehicle for maximum exposure, minimum expense, ease of participation and optimal fundraising opportunities. VISION STATEMENT Our Vision is for The Eggtober Foundation to be recognised and acknowledged as a highly reputable not-for-profit charitable organisation focusing on promoting the control and treatment of Gynaecological Cancers. Ultimately we hope that the public will automatically link October with The Eggtober Foundation and join our efforts to raise funds for Gynaecological Cancers. MISSION STATEMENT The Eggtober Foundation was set up for charitable purposes only and concentrates on Gynaecological Cancers. Gynaecological Cancers have a low public profile compared to other types of cancer and thus lag behind other forms of cancers for public awareness, prevention/control, public funding and private donation. Our mission is to establish a hospital clinic and to assist existing clinics where sufferers of Gynaecological Cancers can be treated and where sufferers, their families, health professionals, carers and members of the general public can be educated about Gynaecological Cancers. OBJECTS The objects for which the Company is established are: (a) To improve service delivery in the detection and treatment of Gynaecological Cancers, through the purchase of equipment and supplies thus assisting both Doctors and Patients in Australia, (b) To fund research into Gynaecological Cancers, (c) To promote public awareness of Gynaecological Cancers through the free dissemination of medical information and statistics, (d) To provide an ongoing fully maintained web site called The Eggtober Foundation for our web based fundraising, (e) To connect sponsors who relate to our aims to provide the ongoing capital to grow and maintain the site and (f) To undertake and pursue all such other similar, related or compatible objects as may from time to time be considered appropriate by the Company relating to Gynaecological Cancers. |
